God’s word sanctifies you

In the Bible, we read the story of the prodigal son who went wayward and spent all of his money in an ungodly manner. When he came to his senses, he realized the love of his father and eagerly returned home. He told his father, “I have sinned against the Heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Please forgive me.” Can you see the guilt in his heart? He felt too unworthy to be called as a son.  He belittled himself to the level of a servant.  But, what did the father do? At once, his father had compassion on him and accepted him.  The father dressed him up again as his rich son!
I had many ungodly friends before I was saved. Every day, my parents used to pray for me and would send me off joyfully to college after advising me. But I never bothered to obey them and was walking in the path of evil along with my friends. Fear used to grip me when I came home in the evenings. I used to wonder, “If my parents come to know that I am whiling away my time in the fleeting pleasures of this world without attending college or writing exams, what will happen to me?” These thoughts would terrify me. Every day passed by in this manner. At last, my parents came to know of my bad habits and evil ways. A storm broke out at home. But very soon the Lord led me into salvation by forgiving my sins.  Thereafter, I dedicated my life to the Lord. There was a great joy in me. My parents too rejoiced with me.
Today, you too can receive the salvation by just confessing your sins. As you believe in these words, As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12), God’s word will cleanse you from all sins.  Come to this fountain today to be sanctified. You would feel a freedom in your spirit.  Enjoy full freedom in Christ.
“Loving Father, I thank You for coming after me and saving me. Thank You for bringing me into Your fold. I belong to Your covenant and its promises. Today, I confess the sins that had glued my heart.  Unglue them with Your blood cleansing me.  Help me to enjoy the great freedom that is found in Christ.  Whenever the devil reminds me of my past, help me to resist the devil, standing on the Word of God.  Make me a channel to carry Your glorious gospel without any hindrance.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
