Difficult moments in life rips out our confidence and self-belief. During that tough phase of life, we feel like we are left alone on an island and even our prayers don’t reach God or that God does not seem to care about us.

We tend to scream and cry till all our strength is drained out, and yet there is nothing that happens. So, we ‘QUIT.’  A few words of people and challenging situations make us believe that giving up is the only way. Finally, a day comes when we see ourselves as losers. This makes the situation worse than facing a failure.
I went through a similar phase in life where I faced a giant in my studies. I found a course in my graduation so tough that I almost gave up studying that subject. Whenever I think of that subject, my mind will act like a battlefield where I would remember past failures on the one hand and the anxiety of re-encountering the same failure on the other.  Even as the day of the examination grew nearer, I was neither able to concentrate nor was I interested in studying, thinking about the complexity of the subject. I just said, “God, I can’t handle this anymore, please help me.” I poured my heart out with tears in the presence of God. After an hour of my talk with God, new confidence and understanding of the Holy Spirit filled me. The giant failures in the past were never again seen in my life. I felt the Holy Spirit sitting next to me and teaching me every time I sat down to study.

Don’t lose heart, for you have a friend who is ever ready to help. You need to call Him, and He will be there for you. The Holy Spirit is a wonderful counselor and a friend who will guide you and make you a shining star for His Glory. His plans towards you are more significant and higher than what you have ever planned for.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8)
God’s plan concerning you is to give you His Spirit and wisdom and to honor you among your friends, family and even at your workplace. People will marvel at your success and praise you and come in search of you. Befriend the Holy Spirit, and He will change you as well as your life.
