God who heals your sickness

God gives peace to the home and to the family. In the Bible, Jesus said to His disciples when they enter a house, the first thing they should do, is that they should declare peace to that house and to that family. Jesus wants to give peace to our families and where there is peace there is healing. The Bible says “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph 4:3). God wants the husband and the wife, the parents and the children to be united in the spirit of peace. As the Bible says “if two or three are gathered in My name” (Matthew 18:20) when the family is united, God himself comes down in their midst. And what does He do then? When He comes down He blesses our bread and water and keeps sickness away from us just as He has promised.
Along with unity, God also desires our obedience towards His word. In Exodus 15:26 it says, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” Jesus provides healing to all His children, those who are called by His name and obey His statutes. In our daily lives we are to pay attention to the way we live. In what manner do we conduct lives? Do we follow what the Word of God tells us or do we simply live the way our heart desires? Do we only come to receive his promises of provision and goodness or do we come to Him simply because we love Him?
In Deuteronomy 7:15 it says that God will inflict horrible diseases on your enemies but will not inflict them on you. That is why I say to abide in God’s word. He knows what’s best for us and which path to take in life. He will direct us with His eye upon us. This obedience of ours flows out of the love that we have for Jesus. He laid down his own life to save yours and mine. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” If He can lay down His life for us, will He not heal us when we cry out to him? He will always stand true to His word and deliver us when we call out to Him.
Loving gracious Lord, I thank thee for your promises. Lord may my family and I enjoy your peace through the good health and strength that you have given us. Lord, help me to inherit the blessing that you toiled for, on the cross. Help me to obey your word and walk in ways that is pleasing in your sight. Equip me to build your Kingdom by sharing your love and compassion to the world. In Jesus name I ask and pray, Amen!
