" You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more br termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the LORD Delights in you, and your land shall be married." (Isaiah 62:4)
Yes, the Lord delights in you. Replace the ‘in you’ with your own name. What great joy and hope is given by this! Perhaps, today you are broken and weary because of the troubles in your life. However, through this verse, the Lord speaks to each one of you and says, ‘I, the Lord, delight in you.’

Today, we see problems, pains and tears assailing families. But the Bible says, ‘Your land (your family) shall be married (shall live well). Yes, since the Lord delights in you, your family will surely live well.

“For the LORD takes pleasure in His people.” (Psalm 149:4)

If you place your whole trust on Him and love Him and commit yourself into His hands saying that He would delight in you, His people and do everything for your good, He will make even your crooked paths straight before you (Isaiah 45:2).

Luke 19th chapter talks about a man called Zacchaeus. The Lord
lovingly sought after him, who was hiding up in a sycamore tree, called him by his name and went to his house. Everyone who saw it complained, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” However, the Lord saw the longing in the heart of Zacchaeus (I Samuel 16:7), delighted in him and said, "Today salvation (blessing and peace) has come to this house” and blessed him and his family. Likewise, the Lord will delight in your family too as you seek His feet.

In Acts 10th chapter, a man called Cornelius sought the Lord sincerely. Hence the Lord granted him and his household, perfect spiritual blessings.

In Acts 16th chapter, when the Lord opened the heart of an ordinary woman called Lydia as she was listening to the truth shared by Apostle Paul and his men, she and her family became God’s children pleasing to Him.

My dear ones, the Lord is waiting to grant you as well as your family this spiritual blessing. “And his banner over me was love…” (Song of Songs 2:4). According to this verse, the Lord who loves you is with you. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (III John 2). Just as how Apostle John prayed for his beloved Gaius, it is the Lord’s wish that you should be blessed as a family in everything and be prosperous. It is the will of God that none should perish (Matthew 18:14). When we walk in the ways pleasing to Him, He would give us His instructions and lead us by hand (Psalm 143:10; Psalm 32:8).
Let us briefly meditate on the ways by which we can please the Lord in our life:

Delight in the Bible

Blessed is the man. Whose delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1,2).How does the Lord make you a blessed woman when you delight in the Lord’s Scriptures?

The reason why the Jesus Calls ministry started by Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran in a small way, has spread wide like the branches of a banyan tree is that he used to read the Bible day and night, delighted in it and meditated on it. I have observed him from the day I got married to him. Without wasting even the little free time that he had, he used to read the Bible and meditate on it.
