Many young girls have come up and asked me, " Akka, please prayer for me. I have lot of pimples on my face and I don't look good. What should I do?" Let me share a few thoughts in line with this for the benefit of young readers.

“Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.” (Psalm 45:11)

We are going to take this word for us. Today the Lord says to you that he will desire in your beauty. King Jesus says that you are beautiful for Me and that’s why I shower My love upon you. The Lord has created us beautifully. Though you may say that you are dark, lean, fat but God has created our body according to His will. You may not be able to accept yourself but the Lord sees you and says to you that you are
beautiful.

The Lord created everybody and that’s why He is saying, “I will desire in your beauty.” When I was young, my mother taught me to make a paper boat. I played with the boat in water and I enjoyed it so much that I kept it in my showcase. Because I had created it with my own hands, I used to always see and enjoy that paper boat.

I have a younger brother in Tirunelveli. After his marriage, God blessed him with a baby girl. Then after 6 years Jesus blessed him with a baby boy. They had waited so long for that baby. He had asked me and my husband to pray for him. When me and my sister went to see the baby, we were full of joy. I was so overwhelmed with emotion because the child that we prayed for was finally before our very eyes. After that child was born, my husband prayed for the baby and revealed how the baby will be in the future. My husband told my brother, “Your son will be like Caleb.” The Bible says in Deuteronomy 1:35-36 “No one from this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your ancestors, except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land he set his feet on,
because he followed the Lord wholeheartedly.”

In this world when a child is born, we experience so much joy. Likewise, the Lord will be happy in us and will shower His love upon us because we are His children. Today, He is showering His love upon you and He wants you to have His beauty. My dear friends, today we may say things like “my outside appearance is not good.” Many young people write to me saying, “Sister, my face is fully covered with pimples; marriage alliance came for me and I used many creams but nothing works. Suddenly black spots appear and I don’t look good, so please pray for me.” Similarly you may have skin problems, itching and burning problems on skin and having dark spots. Today, God’s beauty is going to be upon you when you accept His word.

Jesus lost His beauty for your sake

Jesus too lost His beauty on the cross to make us beautiful in the sight of the Lord. When Sam was one year old, he would always run around the house and play. One day while playing, he was running around a glass table continuously. We were scared that he might trip and strike his head somewhere and suddenly he struck his head on the table and it began to bleed. Since he was our first child, we took special care of him. When we saw his face full of blood we were very scared and were not able to see him in pain. Just as we are unable to see our children suffer, God sees us in our pain and sends deliverance for us. Jesus suffered for us to make us beautiful and to receive all the blessings. Never forget that he lost all his beauty on the cross so that His beauty can be upon you.

1 Peter 3:3-4 says,“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”

God doesn’t show us favoritism. I saw this happen in a family where they were trying to get their elder daughter married. When the bridegroom came to look at her, they did not allow the younger daughter to walk alongside their elder daughter because the younger daughter was more beautiful than the elder one. They were afraid that if he saw the younger one, he might reject the elder one. So they rushed the younger daughter inside the room.

But our loving Lord Jesus will not do that. He does not show favoritism. He will give the same anointing and love to all just as He received from His Heavenly Father.

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Matt. 3:16-17)

May you receive such testimony from God and be blessed. Let God clothe you with His gentle beauty which is of great worth than earthly
beauty. To receive this, cry out to God and He will bless you.
