Sowing and Reaping

One day, Jesus sat down opposite to the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd dropping their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.  Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.  They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything - all she had to live on” (Mark 12:41-44). This became true in the life of one of our Jesus Calls partner.  Here is the testimony.

Ms. Mary Christinal was residing in the beautiful city of Coimbatore with her two children - a boy and a girl. Her husband who was working in a tea estate was affected by wheezing problem and could not continue his job. Due to this, there was no income in her family which in turn resulted in struggle, meeting the expenses at home. Moreover, she developed ulcer due to lack of nutritious food and lived with much weakness. She was even unable to perform everyday chores at home. In this situation in 2004, she had attended the Jesus Calls meeting, where she was blessed abundantly during the prayer time.  She had seen Jesus by her side and all her weaknesses had gone. After the meeting, with the little money she had, she enrolled both of her children in the Young Partners Plan. Thereafter, few of her own family members came forward by themselves to aid the education of her children.  In 2010, she became a Jesus Calls Ambassador, and began to enrol many Jesus Calls Partners. Today, her daughter completed her studies and is working as a professor in a medical college in USA. Her son is studying in Karunya University. Glory to God!
Yes, God sees the heart of the giver.  Giving is an amazing act that touches the heart of God.  In Acts 20:35, the Bible says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  The Lord always honors your faith which you exhibit through giving.  It is also written in Luke 6:38 as, “Give and it will be given to you.  A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.”  Beloved, today I assure you that you will see hundredfold harvest for what you have sown into His kingdom.   The time, things or money that you sow into the kingdom of God always multiplies back to you! Rejoice in the Lord.
Prayer:
Loving Father, I know that the earth and all of its fullness is Yours. I bring all of my time, talents and money which You have given me to be sown into the kingdom of God.  You are the good God who sees the heart of a person.   Bless the work of my hands.  Bless the seed that I bring into Your house.  May I see multiplied harvest! I receive it by faith.  In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
