God hears all your prayers. Especially He hears the prayers and petitions of those who truly believe in Him and who are in bitterness of soul and weep in anguish in His presence (1 Samuel 1:10, 27). Therefore, let us not depend on others but trust God with all our heart and depend on Him for all our needs. Psalmist says in Psalm 32:6 “For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You In a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they shall not come near him.” This is the trust that the psalmist describes to have in God. We need to trust Him completely with an unwavering faith. Then He will miraculously deliver us from all our problems (Isaiah 40:31; Psalm 37:34).

In a family, the husband was not a believer in God but the wife was a god-loving and pious woman. Suddenly, one of their children fell seriously sick and was in her deathbed. In spite of all the efforts of the doctors, the child died and the mother wanted to take the dead body of her child to the church. The husband said to his wife, “All these days you took the child to the church and prayed. There was some meaning in it. Now, the child is dead and you want to take it to the church. Does it serve any purpose? Come let us go and bury the child.” But the wife told him, “No! I will go to the presence of my God and pray to Him with tears. He will surely give life to my child.” And, with great confidence she took the child to the church. But the husband went to the cemetery and started making arrangements for the burial of the child. The wife wrapped the child in a cloth and went to the church in a bus. At that time, the worship service was going on. As the pastor prayed, slowly the child started regaining life as believed by the mother. Finally, the child sat up. The mother was thrilled! She went before the congregation and gave her testimony for the glory of God. Because of this miracle, her husband who was not a believer accepted that there is a God and that He answers the prayers of those who trust in Him.
Dearly beloved, today, you must also pray to God with all your heart and with all your strength and with your entire mind. Our Lord has promised "I am the Lord, for they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.” (Isaiah 49:23). Let us wait for the Lord to bring the victory that is due to us. When we put our efforts to accomplish something, we may succeed it but our victory would not give us satisfaction or happiness. But the victory that our Lord gives us will be cherished forever and ever. God will surely answer you and bless you. He shall listen to your petitions and send His richest blessings on you from heaven (1 Peter 3:12).
Loving heavenly Father! I thank You for giving me the grace to understand that You are a living God. Hear our prayers and answer them. From today onwards help me to fear You, believe in You and walk with You. In the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray. AMEN.
