Orissa the state of India is where many people have died as martyrs for Lord Jesus Christ. It is a place where Christians are severely persecuted and many churches have been torched. But God is love and He is longsuffering toward mankind that none should perish but come to repentance and receive eternal life. Knowing this, the Jesus Calls Ministries conducted a three day Prayer Festival for the first time in Bhubaneswar the capital city of Orissa from 16-18th May 2008 as by the leading of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There was a heavy downpour with thunder and lighting on the previous day of the commencement of the Prayer Festival and with the venue ground covered in water. All hopes of the Prayer Festival seemed gloomy. But, immediately the Lord performed a miracle by causing the rain to stop and made the sun to shine brightly to dry up the waters completely and the grounds became dry within a few hours!! The meetings took place as scheduled without any delay or hindrance proving that no purpose of God could be withheld. Despite the hot sun thousands and thousands of people eagerly started coming in from all over the state for the meeting as early as 3’0 clock in the afternoon.







The Lord used Paul Dhinakaran in a unique and mighty way. Every word he spoke was prophetic. The Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way and did mighty works among the people. The Lord also used Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran, Sharon Paul Dhinakaran and Sweety Paul Dhinakaran in an awesome way for His glory. All the three days were truly days of blessings for the people of Orissa as the Lord did mighty miracles among them. The Lord Jesus Christ used the family of Paul Dhinakaran as a channel to pour out His blessings on the people.

The State Minister Shri. S. Surendra Nath and the Mayor of the city Worshipful Shri. Mihir Mohanthy graced these meetings with their presence and joined Paul Dhinakaran and Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran in offering prayers for the welfare of the people.

The Organising Committee members along with Rt. Rev. Samson Das, Chairman & Bishop of Cuttack, Rev. P. R. Misra, Vice-Chairman, Mr. P. K. Sahu, General Convener, Pastor Sangaram Singh & Mr.D.P.P.Pramanik had done a wonderful work in organizing these meetings successfully.
