“He shall set me high upon a rock” (Psalm 27:5). In this world, we face numerous problems, burdens, sufferings, agonies and pain. However, when our Lord comes and abides in our personal and family lives, He takes charge of all our matters. The mighty Lord will save us and guide us with His love (Zephaniah 3:17).
He will go ahead of us and protect us from all dangers and evils. He will surround us like a wall of fire and deliver us from the forces of darkness. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). When He is our Rock, Refuge, and Fortress, we will lack nothing in this world.
Once, a family lived in a house paying rent for it. However, the surroundings were not good. Drunkards, and prostitutes lived in the neighbourhood. There were constant quarrels in the streets day and night. Initially, this family did not know what to do. Often, they thought of shifting to another house in a better locality.
At the same time, they faithfully and fervently prayed to God for His divine guidance. Yet, some neighbours came to pick up quarrels with them. But, the members of this family did not say anything except, “Praise the Lord” at all times and held fast to God. Because they had brought up their children with discipline and fear of God, they too behaved well. This surprised all the people who lived around their house. They wondered how it was possible for them to live so happily and peacefully! After sometime, they started a weekly prayer meeting.
As days went by, they started feeling the presence of God in these meetings. As days went by, they started feeling the presence of God in these meetings. The people who led a sinful life began to turn to the Lord for help and guidance. God Almighty drew them nearer to Him by His divine love. Do you know how this change came in? It is because this praying family was built high upon a rock. Do you have any testimony like this in your life?
Dear Friend! You too may be living in difficult and troublesome localities. Do not worry. You see that your house is built upon the Rock - our Lord Jesus Christ. You hold fast to Him and pray faithfully and fervently at all situations. He will surely grant you the divine grace to live a life of witness for Him (Isaiah 26:4).

Loving Lord,
Today, help me build my house upon You – the Rock. Guide me to hold fast to You at all times and give me the grace to be a living witness for You. Bless me and keep me under Your mighty wings.
