WELL-WATERED GARDENDate: 01-09-2010
Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: If we want our garden to be fruitful, then we must maintain it, water it everyday and protect it.
“The Lord will guide you always… you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail” (Isaiah 58:11). It is true that a tree planted by streams of water shall yield its fruit in season and its leaf shall not wither (Psalm 1:3).
If we want our garden to be fruitful, then we must maintain it, water it everyday and protect it. In the same way if our families have to prosper and be a blessing to others then God should be the Head of our family. The one who places God and His kingdom first shall be a well-watered garden and a spring whose waters never fail.
Recently a family from Coimbatore who are donors of the Jesus Calls Ministry wrote a testimony to us. The parents of Justin who were teachers by profession kept traversing through the valley of financial crisis. They sold their last portion of their possessions and property and sent Justin for a job in United States of America.
When Justin’s visa was about to expire he called his mother in India over telephone saying, “Mom! I am not yet placed in a good job. I guess I will have to return back to India.” Amidst sobs his mother replied, “Son! How are we to live? We have no property or possession in our hand now. A huge sum of bank loan has to be repaid. How are we going to survive?”
While in such a perplexed frame of mind Justin’s parents happened to watch the Jesus Calls Television programme. In that programme filled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit I told, “On this day, the Lord says that He is granting a job to all those who have gone abroad seeking for a placement.” I did not know the plight of this family and this particular programme was recorded about 3 months earlier. In the same week when this programme was telecast Justin’s visa was also expiring.
Immediately after the telecast of this programme, Justin who did not get a job until then, miraculously got a nice job in a popular firm in America. Justin’s parents were delighted. Their son started earning and he sent money regularly every month to his parents. Now his parents have constructed a splendid mansion in Coimbatore and they are living happily.
Last year, when I visited the United States, I met Justin there. With exceedingly great joy he told me, “Brother! I am now placed here in a good position. It is possible for me to take care of my parents. Besides that, God enables me to help those who are struggling without a job. Now I share my testimony with others and faith is kindled in their hearts as well. Those who hear my testimony place their trust in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and receive bountiful blessing from Him.”
The Lord who continues to bless Justin will make your life a well-watered garden as well. He will prosper your soul, enable you to testify for His glory, bless you and keep you as a source of blessing for many. Be of good cheer!

Loving Lord Jesus
The Bible states that, ‘He who has the Son has life’. You are the source of life. Give me help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through You I will do valiantly, for it is You who shall tread down my enemies. Make my life a well-watered garden that rivers of living water containing peace may spring forth. Prosper all my efforts and grant me Your divine blessings.
