I am sure that you are longing to receive the blessings from the hands of our loving Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on this day. Perhaps you are pleading with God and asking Him, “Lord! Will You please accept me as Your child?” Dear Friend, our heavenly Father promises, “I will be a Father to you and you will be My children.” In the same way, God is going to be your father. He will guide you and grant you all the desires of your heart. This thought is clearly expressed as, “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
On this day, whatever be the desires that are hidden deep down in your heart God will grant it to you and make you happy according to His will (Psalm 20:4). He alone is going to be your best Friend on this day. He is a wonder working God and therefore He will talk, guide, counsel and lead you in all your ways.
A certain sister received the anointing of the Holy Spirit after waiting and longing for four years. She had come to the Jesus Calls Prayer Festival held at Raipur on 30.1.2010 with much longing to be filled by the Lord. In that Prayer Festival, I fervently prayed for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to fall upon all the people gathered there with all their heart and soul according to Acts 2:17. I pleaded with God saying, “Lord! Please shower all Your goodness. Let it come upon Your people like the latter rain.” After prayers that sister in particular rushed to the dais and testified for the glory of God saying, “I offer millions of thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for granting me the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I had been longing for this experience for the past four years. I am unable to contain the indescribable joy that God has put in my heart. I am overwhelmed with exceedingly great happiness.” Just as how God made this sister glad, He is able to fulfill the desires of your heart and make you happy as well (Matthew 7:7; Luke 11:13). Be of good cheer.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus
The anointing of the Holy Spirit alone can break any yoke. Please grant me the anointing of the Holy Spirit that I may bear fruit of the Holy Spirit in my life. Help me to bear such fruit that will remain for others to see and glorify Your Father in heaven. I firmly trust that You alone can grant me the desires of my heart. Your blessing alone can make anybody rich because You add no sorrow to it.
