Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Just call on the name of the Lord to receive His blessings in abundance.
There was a woman named Dhanalakshmi who suffered with severe chest pain. One doctor after another examined her but none could either diagnose the cause or find out the cure for it. She was greatly troubled and her spirit weighed low. Whilst fear gripped her as she lay in bed she decided to switch on the television to watch a movie. She and her household never knew anything about Jesus Christ. It was her husband who kept changing the channel. Suddenly the Jesus Calls programme popped up. She told, “Change this programme and put some channel that is telecasting a movie.” Simultaneously as her husband changed the channel, her chest pain increased and she began to writhe in pain.
In the Bible Jesus Christ declares, “Because I live, you will live also” (John 14:19). All that God expects you is to turn to Him, cry out to Him and He will make you live with abundance of life. Jesus Christ assures, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:14). Again He says, "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16: 24).
Once again Dhanalakshmi told her husband, “Please switch on to that Jesus Calls Programme.” On that day, I was expounding about the healing power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. During the time for prayer I told, “There is a woman watching this programme who is suffering with severe chest pain”. When these words hit her ears she felt as if hit by a thunder-bolt. Then I proceeded to say, “You feel as if there is an outgrowth – a tumour”. She wondered, “This man is talking about me.” Furthermore I told, “There is no such tumour. Just call on the name of Jesus Christ. He is healing you now.” The whole family was taken aback. They knew nothing about our Lord Jesus Christ. As a family they cried out to God and she was healed completely. Such is the love and compassion of Christ. If God could heal a person who never searched for Him, how much more concerned wouldn’t He be in healing those who seek Him diligently? He will swiftly come to your aid and rescue you from all your pains and troubles. Just call on the name of the Lord to receive His blessings in abundance. Jesus Christ is alive to perform a miracle in your life on this day (Psalm 55:17, 22). Be of good cheer!
Prayer
Almighty God, My loving Father,
I love You with my whole heart and above all things I offer to You all my thoughts and actions and ask You to bless me during this day. Help me so that I may always remain in Your love and follow Your commandments in my life. Give me Your grace and mercy for this day in abundance. Please lift Your countenance upon me and grant me Your peace. You have promised to prosper every soul that looks up to You and cries out their requests to You. On this day strengthen me to do every joyfully for Your glory.
In the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I pray.
