BE BLAMELESSDate: 25-08-2010 Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Those who are faithful in their lives and do according to God’s will be pleasing in His eyes.
Once, during a family holiday trip to Kodaikanal while all of us went out on sightseeing, Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran remained in the room. He wanted to spend some time offering prayers in solitude in the presence of God. That is precisely when God spoke to Bro. Dhinakaran about the founding of Karunya Educational Institution.
God told him, “I know that you will be faithful and sincere in accomplishing this project. That is why I am entrusting this work to you.” Yet, Bro. Dhinakaran tried to escape from this assignment like Moses and said to Him, “I am an ordinary bank official. How can I start and manage an educational institution?” However, God made it crystal clear by saying, “I have chosen you to accomplish this mission of Mine.” When he heard this, he had no choice but to submit to the will of God. Like Moses, he prayed at every stage of the work and sought His guidance always. The edifice of Karunya Educational Institution, established in accordance with a command from God stands as an evidence for God’s manifestation of His glory. The reason for its rapid growth is the obedience of His servant.
Moses was chosen by God for an important mission. Initially, he tried to avoid the assignment of God by saying, “I am not eloquent. I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” But, later on, he submitted himself to the will of God and was faithful in accomplishing all His assignments one by one (Hebrews 3:5).
Then, till the end God remained with him and strengthened him to carry on his task in miraculous ways. To our great surprise, when Moses died, it was God who buried him (Deuteronomy 34:6). Who will get this blessed privilege in their life? Moses got it because he was absolutely faithful before the eyes of God. Those who are faithful in their lives and those who are devoted and loyal in their ministries for God and do according to His will are sure to be delightful and pleasing in the eyes of the Lord.
Dear Friend! When we are faithful and sincere in the ways shown by the Lord and when we obediently follow Him, He too will be faithful to banish our wicked nature and thereby help us to lead a life which is pleasing and acceptable to Him. He will perform great and mighty deeds through us (2 Timothy 2:13).
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
Your will is my pleasure. Give me the grace to walk in truth as desired by You. From today onwards, give me Your counsel and guide me according to Your will. Help me to faithfully accomplish Your mission. In the faithful name of our Lord Jesus I pray.
Amen. |
