LORD LIFTS YOUR HEADDate: 21-08-2010 Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: God knows all people who trust Him
In this world, we have no choice but to live amidst jealous and unkind people both in our families and in our place of work. On account of this, quite often we face with humiliation and troubles. The Psalmist says, “But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head” (Psalm 3:3).
The Word of God never fails. Believe in it and pray to Him sincerely saying, “Dear Lord, I do not trust the people in this world. I also do not trust the worldly things, nor do I give first place to them. All I want is that You the mighty One (Zephaniah 3:17; Jeremiah 20:11) should abide in my life.” Then, rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4). He will surely lift up your head and bless you abundantly. Get rid of all your doubts and unnecessary fears and lead a successful life.
A house wife had all the luxuries in her father’s house before her marriage But, after marriage, she had to struggle to make both ends meet because the income of her husband was sufficient to lead a simple life. In deep faith, surrendering her life to the Lord Jesus Christ she offered fervent prayers while living with a contented heart. Finding her faithful in the little things, God blessed her family life. The lord increased the income of her husband gradually. After a few years, God blessed her with more comforts and luxuries than what she had in her father’s house. As He rewarded her for being faithful in her prayer life, she thanked and praised God with all her heart always. Her family members also realized how God blessed and increased her standard of living because of her persistent prayers offered with patience. So they also thanked and praised God!
Dear Friend, when you submit your life in the nail-pierced hands of the Lord, He would take away all your insufficiencies and bless you richly. You should experience this truth in your life. God knows all people who trust Him (Nahum 1:7). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap (Psalm 113:7, 1 Samuel 2:7, 8).
Prayer:
Loving Lord!
How wonderful You are! You created this world out of nothing. Similarly from today onwards take away all the insufficiencies from my life. Please bless me and lift up my head up that I could glorify Your name in my life. Strengthen me and bless me. In the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen. |
