Pilate who enquired into the charges of Jesus before He was crucified could not find any fault in Him. Finally he said, “He is a righteous man” (Matthew 27:24). While Pilate was sitting on the Judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of Him” (Matthew 27:19).
Even after knowing that those evil people handed Jesus over to him out of envy (Matthew 27:17), he asked them, “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?” They replied, “Crucify Him.” The Holy Spirit showed me as to what happened when those evil people shouted, “Crucify Jesus”.
Before His crucifixion when Jesus went to the Mount of Transfiguration along with His disciples, the heaven was opened for Him and His face shone like the sun. His dress became as white as the light. The mighty power of God descended upon Him. It was then, there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus about His death. At that time a voice from the cloud said, “This is My Son, whom I love. Listen to Him” (Matthew 17:5). His disciples who were there also heard it and no one else heard it.
While Jesus stood before Pilate and when the evil people shouted to crucify Him, He heard only the voice of His Father which He heard in the Mount of Transfiguration saying, “This is My Son, whom I love. With Him I am well pleased”. But He did not hear the word of the evil people and those words did not reach Him also. That is the power of the Holy Spirit.
Dear Friend, The Lord says the same to you also. Probably treacherous people have wronged you for the sake of name and fame. They might have come against your family or ministry. It could be that trampling your sincere and hard work they prevented your promotion and progress. At such times the Holy Spirit shall descend upon you. You shall not hear the voice of the evil people.
Instead you shall hear the voice of your heavenly Father saying, “This is my beloved child.” Have you surrendered your life to God today? Are you leading a righteous life? Are you following the Lord sincerely? Then you shall hear the voice of God through the Holy Spirit. You shall never hear the words of the traitors. The Holy Spirit shall enable you to see visions concerning your future. "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you (John 14:26). When the Holy Spirit comes into you He shall lead you into all truths.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Just as You certified Your only begotten Son saying, “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased”, help me also to be Your beloved child. Fill me with the anointing of the Holy Spirit without measure that I may go about doing good works and also see visions concerning my future. May the Holy Spirit abide with me always and bring to my remembrance all the teachings of Jesus Christ and lead me into all truths. It is stated in the Bible that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Liberate me from all the bondages and set my soul free to exalt Your name now and forever.
