VIBRANT VOICEDate: 04-08-2010 Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: God shall grant you a vibrant voice to glorify His name on this earth.
While experiencing misery often in our carnal mind we tend to say, “God has forgotten and forsaken me.” It is definitely the devil who prompts us to make such a statement. Besides losing the presence of God we also give glory to the devil by saying, “God has forsaken me”.
Our Lord Jesus Christ offered a prayer to His Father from the cross saying, “My God, My God why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). On the contrary, our Lord spoke these words on the cross in order to destroy the devil who prevents us from inheriting our blessings.
Our resurrected Saviour says: "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues” Henceforth never say, “God has forsaken me”. God hates to hear such a statement from you. He desires to grant us new tongues. Bible says, "For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him with one accord. (Zephaniah 3:9).
On the day of Pentecost when all the disciples gathered in a place with one accord, the Holy Spirit filled them mightily. All of them began to speak in other tongues as enabled by the Spirit of God (Acts 2:4).
Earlier they would have spoken in fear saying, “The Jews will kill us. We do not know why we followed Jesus and why we left our jobs?” Even after the resurrection of Jesus some of them said, “I shall go back to fishing. Otherwise they may crucify me also just like Jesus.” But Jesus destroyed the power of such statements uttered from the carnal mind. Through His Holy Spirit Jesus Christ strengthened His children and gave them new tongues.
Abraham having received the promise, when he was yet to be blessed with a child could have told, “God has forsaken me”. On the contrary, he believed that the Lord who promised was able to fulfill it and glorified God and was strengthened in his faith. It was credited to him as righteousness (Romans 4:21, 22). Since he spoke a clean language he was blessed with a child.
Job, a righteous man who lost everything including his property, children, health and friends said, “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him… I know that You can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted.” (Job 13:15, 42:2). He spoke the right and pure language. That is why the Lord blessed him in double measure, enabled him to see four generations of His descendants and also removed all his captivities (Job 42:10, 12).
The Bible says, “For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people” (Isaiah 28:11). When the Lord speaks to His people in strange tongues they in turn also speak the language of God. Nothing can stand before them because, “What He (God) says will happen,” (Mark 11:23), the Lord enables them to perform miracles. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” ((2 Corinthians 3:17). So open up your heart and plead with the Lord saying, “Please fill me and move mightily through me.”
The Holy Spirit shall deliver you from the fear of death, the wrath of evil people and the power of the devil which tries to destroy you and push you into hell and help you to triumph in this world. He shall grant you a vibrant voice to glorify His name on this earth.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
We read in the Bible that God anointed You with the Holy Spirit and with power, and that You went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with You. In Your immense grace and mercy please make the promise that You made to Your disciples come true in my life as well. The Bible says, "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Please fill me with the anointing of the Holy Spirit in an immeasurable way. Help me find favour in Your eyes to be blessed with the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit. Grant me a vibrant voice that I may sing of Your glory now and forever.
Amen. |
