RECEIVED IMMEDIATELYDate: 03-08-2010 Speaker: Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran Gist: The heart of God is eager to grant your request.
The Bible says that the Lord grants the desires of the righteous and blesses them. When the righteous call upon Him, He not only answers them but also grants them all their desires. “What the righteous desire will be granted” (Proverbs 10:24).
The Bible also says that the Lord fulfills the desires of those who fear Him. He hears their cry and saves them (Psalm 145:18, 19). The Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want Me to give you.” (1 Kings 3:5). The heart of God is eager to grant your request.
Dear Friend! The Lord wants you to make known to Him about all your desires and needs. God longs for a fellowship with you. While the Lord Jesus sojourned on this earth, He asked the same question to Bartimaeus, the blind man who cried unto Him. When Jesus and His disciples along with a large crowd were leaving the city of Jericho, Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.
When he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was coming, he began to shout, “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me.” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him”. So they called to the blind man, ‘Cheer up, on your feet, He is calling you”. Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
Jesus asked him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man replied, “Rabbi, I want to see.” Jesus said, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road (Mark 10:46-52). When Jesus questioned him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” he answered, “Rabbi, I want to see”. When Jesus said, “Go, your faith has healed you”, immediately he received his sight.
Dear Friend! Probably you too have a pressing need like Bartimaeus today. Whatever be your need, the Lord is able to supply all your needs and bless you. God who grants us our desires is with us always (Matthew 28:20).
Prayer
Loving Lord Jesus,
Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. We are abundantly satisfied with Your fullness and You give us drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart. Please help us to make known of our requests only to You and receive the perfect blessings which You have in store for us.
I offer all glory, honour and praise to Your name alone.
Amen. |
