Our Almighty and Heavenly Father promises to turn His face towards us and give us His peace (Numbers 6:26). These days, when we open the newspaper or any public media for that matter it informs us about the problems faced by war torn countries, ethnic clashes, shattering of family units within days of its institution, bitterness between parents and children and vice-versa.
In a nutshell the world is longing for divine peace. If we do not have divine love in us, certainly we will not have peace or happiness in our life. In a family life the husband and wife must love each other sincerely and understand each other. According to Romans 5:5, this love is poured through the Holy Spirit. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, God’s love is poured into us. That enables us not only to forgive others but also love them. The Lord fills us with His love and transforms us into His likeness. The Bible says, “Love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God” (1 John 4:7).
When the first lady of a certain family surrendered her life to God, all her family members made fun of her. But even in that situation she was very firm in the Lord. Her husband was a servant of God. But whenever their relatives mocked at his wife he would get angry. The wife not only prayed for her relatives but also prayed for her husband’s transformation. On account of that their families reunited. Her husband also realized his folly. She led all her family members to the Lord. Later all her family members became God’s servants.
Dear Friend! I have gone through innumerable afflictions and sorrows in the 48 years of my married life. I faced problems even in the ministry. Even amidst all these problems my husband and I clung on to the Lord with one accord. The Lord poured His love upon us. He graciously filled us with His peace and leads us in the ministry. Dear Friend! You too must learn to get filled with the Holy Spirit and the love of God and walk in godliness and the fear of God.
The Second Coming of our Lord is at hand. Let us surrender ourselves to the Lord as a family. Always look up to God who surrendered Himself on the cross for you to be blessed. Get rid of all your evil habits. The Lord shall cleanse you with His precious blood. He shall bless you and keep you. He shall make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. He shall turn His face toward you and give you peace.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
The world is longing for divine peace. You alone can grant us the divine peace that we are searching for because You are the Prince of peace. You promised us, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” I place my trust on You alone. May Your indescribable and divine peace flow like a river in my heart throughout this day and forever. Give me Your grace to face the challenges of this day with an unruffled mind. You are my all in all. I surrender this day into Your loving hands. I plead with You to bless this day for me.
I offer all glory, honour and praises to Your matchless name alone.
