When Jesus Christ grants us His joy, He takes away all our sorrows. He affectionately says, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) "For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul." Jeremiah 31:25. How can God refresh you? As He fills you with the Holy Spirit, He plucks away all the sorrow in your heart and fills you with His joy. When filled with His joy our joy is complete. When Jesus Christ saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, Matthew 9:36. On this day, Jesus Christ is beside you moved with compassion for you. He will take away all your sorrows.
When Jesus entered a town called Nain, He saw many people carrying a dead young man. He knew what had happened there. The only son of a widow was dead. She had no one to help her except her son and her only support was no more. Jesus walked close to the coffin and told, “Young man I say to you arise!”
Immediately the young man came back to life. He got up and began to speak. Such is the amazing and mighty power of our Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 7:11-15) Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live (John 11:25).
Jesus Christ is the only One who can give life to anyone. Have you visited this website with a weary heart – a heart engulfed in sorrow which says, ‘there is none to help me’? Perhaps you are in a troubled situation. Your anxious mind could be questioning, “Lord! The entire responsibility of taking care of my family rests on me. What shall I do to manage the affairs of my home effectively? Man looks at your face but God looks at your contrite spirit. God who looks at your weary spirit will refresh you. The widow whose son has been raised from the dead rejoiced greatly. She got back the life of her son once again. On this day, you will get back everything that you have lost. Are you saying you have lost your fame or finances? The Lord will fill you with His Holy Spirit. Your joy will be made complete by God. The joy of your Lord is your strength.
In order to encourage you, I would like to say a testimony shared by a brother named Sandeep who resides in Kolkatta. His only brother, a doctor fell into depression and always had a frown on his face. For fifteen long years he suffered and none could deliver him. He had his parents, brother, friends and other dear ones but no one could pull him out of this pit of miry clay. One day, he took a lot of sleeping pills desiring to end his life that was weary and so full of sorrow. When his dear ones came to know that he had consumed sleeping pills, they admitted him in a hospital. He went into coma stage and had to be kept under a ventilator.
Doctors battled with all their might. Ultimately they could only say, “No hope! Please take him home. We cannot help him because we do not know when he will open his eyes.” For 36 hours he did not open his eyes nor speak. That was a time when all the members of his family were shattered. While Sandeep was arranging to take his brother back home, early in the morning, he happened to watch the Jesus Calls Television programme in which I delivered the word of God and prayed. The Holy Spirit led me to pray particularly for those who were in coma stage. I pleaded, “Lord! Please lift those people who are in coma stage, make them live and enable them to lead a normal life.”
After the prayer was over, Sandeep received a call from one of his relative who informed him, “Sandeep! Your brother has opened his eyes. Just now this miracle happened.” Three days later, he started moving his hands and legs and some time later he walked out of the hospital heading happily towards his home. The joy of Sandeep and that of his family members along with their relatives knew no bounds.
The Lord Jesus Christ abides with you to give you such joy. Until now everything that you have lost you will receive it back. God will make your joy complete. Have you lost your home or have your dear ones gone far away from you? The Lord will bring them back to you. Are you facing ill-health? There is healing in the wings of our Lord Jesus Christ. Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and He will surely make your joy complete.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I praise and thank You for Your immense grace and mercy which You have bestowed on me. I believe that Your resurrecting power alone can make my joy complete. I may work ceaselessly from early in the morning to late in the evening but Your grace alone can make a difference in my life. I surrender every task at my disposal on this day into Your loving hands. Prosper every effort manifesting Your awesome and amazing power that Your name might be glorified through my life.
