PLACE YOUR PETITIONSDate: 05-03-2010 Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: He wants to call you His child and grant you all that you ask of Him on this day in His name.
A man who is paralyzed cannot move his hands or legs. Can you just imagine what his condition would have been? The Bible says, “Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Matthew 9:2. However, when he was brought before Jesus Christ, He knew that he suffered this state of ill-health because of his sins.
What did Jesus Christ who looked at him say? Did He ever condemn him saying ‘you are a sinner’? Or, “Get away from Me!’ Or, Did He look at those surrounding Him and say, “Why do you bring such paralytic people into My presence? Don’t you know that I am holy – I am God?” Jesus Christ will never cast out any sinner who comes to Him (John 3:17).
Whether you are a sinner or a sick person, Jesus Christ affectionately calls you, “My child. I love you My child. Come unto Me.” Then, Jesus Christ commanded him to be free from his sins and to be healed. The sins and sickness of that man left him. Jesus Christ made that man pick up his bed and go home. He told, “My son! Until now people have thrown you in the street but now go back home.” Such is the incomparable love of our loving Lord Jesus Christ.
God will by no means cast you away (John 6:37). He does not discriminate anyone based on their caste, creed, religion, language or status. He is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11, Galatians 2:6; Acts 10:34). To anyone who comes to Him, He gives the privilege of being His child and also wipes away their tears.
You who are reading this message, God loves you. He wants to call you His child and grant you all that you ask of Him on this day in His name (John 14:14). He wants to fulfill the desires of your heart on this day (Psalm 20:4). Jesus Christ abides with you (Matthew 28:20). Today, in faith make all your petitions known to Him. He will grant it to you. Be of good cheer!
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus Christ,
Just as how You had compassion on that man who was paralyzed, have mercy on me a sinner. Please cleanse me of my sins making me holy and whole. I request You to keep me sound in my body, spirit and soul that I may glorify Your name always. Give me the grace to call on Your name always particularly during times of trouble. I believe that I will lack no good thing when I place my trust in You.
Amen. |
