Gist:  The best way is to kneel down at God’s feet always and be content with His blessings.

The life of David was pleasing in the sight of God. He prayed and cried out to the Lord in the morning, evening and at noon (Psalm 55:17). But, one evening, instead of kneeling down and looking at the Lord, he walked on the roof of his palace that landed him up in yielding to temptation. His life became miserable and he had to face the terrible consequences of his sin. After that he cried out to God and begged Him to forgive his sins (Psalm 51:1, 2). God had mercy on him.

Dear friend, it is absolutely necessary to be watchful in seeking the Lord in our life at all times. If we ignore our prayer time and get involved in loose talks, wrong deeds and in visiting the dens of evil people giving way to lust, we are sure to fall into sin. Recovering from these sins is not going to be an easy task. So, let us be cautious in leaving such sinful ways, by looking up to Him, confessing our sins and seeking His forgiveness. This will surely strengthen our feeble knees and make our life a blessed one (Haggai 1:5, 7).

A certain man was a heavy drunkard while his wife was a god-fearing woman. She prayed fervently to the Lord to redeem and transform her husband. God saw her tears, touched her husband and changed his life upside down. Peace and happiness returned to this house. As they were living happily together, one day, his bad friends compelled him to drink again. Darkness filled him once again. His wife felt heart broken and desperate. She became weak in body and almost reached her death bed. This terrible situation made the husband realize his blunder. He knelt down beside his wife and loudly cried out to God. “My Lord! I am a terrible sinner. Have mercy on me. Forgive my sins and iniquities. Please spare the life of my dear wife. I promise that I will never ever sin again. Please Lord strengthen my weak knees and bless our family life.” God heard the cry of this penitent heart and blessed them.

Dear Friend, the best way in this world is to kneel down at His feet at all times and be content with those blessings He bestows upon us. Therefore, let us lead a god fearing and a righteous life and see that our knees are strengthened and our lives are blessed by Him (Hebrews 12:12, 13).

Prayer:

Loving Lord,

How blessed is the life that abides in You! Today, help me never to leave Your ways and make me walk in Your divine ways at all times of my life. Please, place Your nail-pierced hands on me and bless me. In the precious name of Jesus I pray.

Amen.
