Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: You should live and declare His amazing and awesome works
It is the Lord’s desire that you should live and declare His amazing and awesome works that He did, does and is going to do in your life. “The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.” (Psalm 118:16, 17).
On the contrary, the problems of this world, the wicked people therein, satan and sin keep struggling with you desiring to see your downfall and are eager to see you die. For this reason, we ought to make known of all the good things that God does in our life as a testimony to others so that they may receive Jesus Christ – the eternal life and abound in His abundance of life.
A person named Paulraj from Nilakottai, a partner of the Jesus Calls T.V. Club who received blessings from God testifies as follows: “I have two children. My son’s name is Dinesh and that of my daughter is Divya. Two months after the birth of my daughter, suddenly on one day my wife could not get up from the floor following a severe nerve breakdown. She experienced excruciating pain and her left foot slowly started swelling. Initially we considered it could be a muscle pull but after consultation with a Neurologist, we concluded that our assumption was wrong.
Within ten days the swelling worsened. I suffered greatly because besides taking care of the children I had to care for my wife as well. She found it extremely difficult even to take a step. We consulted a doctor who told, “Perhaps there is a tumour in the stomach and this swelling is a consequence of that.” Following this report, we met another doctor who suggested, “This swelling may be because it is infected or there is formation of puss.” He prescribed some tablets but on consuming it the swelling did not subside but grew from bad to worse. My daughter was just two months old and baby sitting seemed all the more difficult without any assistance from my wife who herself was in a miserable condition. In our anxiety we visited yet another doctor who suggested that we take a scan. The scan report revealed that my wife had undergone a difficult confinement and the strain during pregnancy had caused blood clot in the nerves that supply blood to the leg region and that is why the swelling. He referred us to another specialist who agreed with the scan report. Finally, we were asked to seek help from a mission hospital in a metropolitan city. A thought of selling even that piece of house and land in our possession to get my wife treated in a private hospital crossed my mind. An exorbitant estimated sum of nearly two hundred thousand was required for the treatment. Since we could not afford this amount once again my wife was referred to a general hospital for treatment.
She got admitted and was in bed for twenty-two days. Once again a scan was taken to confirm what was told earlier. Since the dosage of the medicine given to my wife was heavy the doctor strictly advised that she should not breast feed the child. She wept while having to drain away the milk without feeding our child. Whenever my daughter wept I did not know what to do. My wife thought it was better to die than undergo this torment. However, simultaneously she also had this thought. ‘While I am still alive if there is no one to take care of my spouse and children what would happen if I were to die?’
Running betwixt hospital and home I knew not what I was doing and what was happening around me. My wife was sternly told not to lift heavy things, not to do washing, cooking or cleaning. I did all these domestic chores. With no relatives to give us even moral support we battled alone. We regularly watch the Jesus Calls Television programme, “Hour of hope”. One day we heard that Dr. Paul Dhinakaran would be visiting Andipatti village for the inauguration function of a church. A zealous spirit arose within me that somehow we should attend this meeting as a family. Besides holding my wife, I also held both my children and somehow came to this meeting with a hope that my wife would surely be healed completely of this peculiar ailment. It was faith in Lord Jesus Christ that made us walk nearly one and a half kilometer from the bus stop to the church. We sat in the first row. During Prayer Time, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran commanded all the diseases and pain from the crown of their head to the tip of their toe to leave the bodies of those who were afflicted. Both of us were praying with tears. Dr Paul told, “Lord! Please heal them through the stripes of Your nail-pierced hands. Heal everyone who has gathered here today.”
Further he continued to say, “None of these people gathered should go back with any sickness. Remove every suffering and heal them Lord. Thank You for confirming Your word.” After prayers, when we stepped out of that place, my wife felt as if she was a new creation. Neither the swelling was seen nor the pain was felt. We leaped like lambs in our hearts and rejoiced in the Lord.”
Similarly, it is the Lord’s desire that you should live and declare His amazing and awesome works that He did, does and is going to do in your life. Behold your miracles this day and forget not to make it known to others as well.

Loving heavenly Father,
I praise and thank You for the gift of mind, body and soul which You have graciously given to me. Help me to always sing praises of all the goodness which You have granted me. Give me Your grace and open doors for me to testify the amazing and awesome deeds which You have done, are doing and going to do in my life. Be with me, prosper all my efforts and make me glad.
