Once there happily lived a god fearing family. Since God was with them, peace, prosperity, joy and unity prevailed in this family. Most of their neighbours witnessed the showers of blessings that fell on this family and they all rejoiced along with this family. However, one man who lived just opposite was filled with jealousy and hatred could not digest their abundant life. So, filled with evil thoughts, he rose up against this family and tried everything possible by all means to destroy this wonderful family – a well-watered garden. When nothing could bring about the destruction he had expected, he even went to the extent of doing witchcraft against this family.
When God was by the side of this family can anything dare to harm them? “Nothing shall by any means hurt you.” All his weapons targeted against this family could not prosper as promised in Luke 10:19. Finally, when all his efforts and weapons miserably failed, he went straight to this family and asked them about the secret of their strength and invincibility. When he found that God was with them and He was the source of all their blessings, he too surrendered to God and became His slave to work for Him.
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
We live in a sinful world. The people are also evil and ungodly. All the vices described in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, are seen in this world today. Because of the evil ways of this world, we are also forced to struggle in our life. But, we need not lose heart. If God, who created this universe and all that are in it is for us, there is no need for us to panic and worry. Our God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. He is a mighty and an awesome One (Jeremiah 20:11). Goliath was strong, well built and fully armed, but David was neither armed nor well built. Yet, he easily killed Goliath because God was with David and this was the secret of his victory.
Dear Friend, never seek the help of mortal men. Always follow the eternal God so that He is with you forever. If the Lord is on your side, you need not fear and no one can harm you (Psalm 118:6). He is the only one who can bless you and your family spiritually, physically and financially. Right now, kneel before Him and pray to receive all the blessings in this world.
“Lord, Come and dwell in my heart. Fill me and my family exactly the way You blessed Zacchaeus with Your divine presence. Remove all the problems and evil people who rise up against me.” “When you pray like this, the Lord will take over and fight the battle for you (Exodus 14:14).
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
I cannot live without You even for a minute in this world. I need You every hour. From today onwards, please Lord; You abide in me at all times and in all places. Lord, help me to feel Your presence. Give me all Your blessings and let me be a blessing to others. Thank You for hearing my prayers.
