Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
Abraham tells Eliezer, “Find a suitable wife for my son Isaac” (Genesis 24:7). Eliezer perhaps pondered, “What if my selection of a suitable wife for Isaac did not please him?” He politely told Abraham, “What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land? Shall I then take your son back to the country where from you came?” However, Abraham tells Eliezer, “Eliezer! Don’t worry. You may please get ready for the journey. The angel of God shall go before you and he shall show you the right woman for my son Isaac. She shall do the will of God and inherit the land.” How many parents can place similar trusts on their children just as Abraham had on his son Isaac. Dear Friend, Isaac did not say, “I am forty years old. I must find a suitable partner for myself.” Instead he surrendered himself totally to the will of his father saying, “My father is a servant of God. So the angel of God shall bring a suitable woman for me.”
The angel of God shall bring the right partner. It was the faith of Abraham and the Lord also did exactly the same. Eliezer did see only one woman and she was the one chosen by God. When you surrender yourself totally to God in your personal life as well as in establishing the kingdom of God on this earth, He shall send an angel before you. He shall go before you and arrange everything for you. The Lord shall provide the right persons for His ministry. Are you waiting for your marriage? The angel of God shall bring the right partner for you. Have you not been blessed with a child? God will surely grant you the gift of the child. Do you need a house of your own? When you and your family build the kingdom of God, the Lord Himself shall build your house.
In the Bible we see the angel of God appearing in many places in the Old Testament. We read the angel of God went with him, fought with him etc. But during the New Testament God has given us His Holy Spirit. The Angel of God comes now and then. But the Holy Spirit remains with us all the time (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express (Romans 8:26).
Prayer
Loving Heavenly Father,
I praise and thank You from the bottom of my heart for Your loving kindness, protection and care. You have given the angels charge over us that we may always be under Your divine care. On this day I place my trust in Your goodness for me and my dear ones. All those who are under the shadow of Your mighty wings receive Your divine protection. My Your glory go before and after me guiding and guarding me in all the steps that I take on this day which You have given for me to rejoice.
