GOD’S LOVING KINDNESS AND TRUTHDate: 08-02-2010
Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Those who trust God and hold fast to Him always, find that His promises are faithful.
We are not consumed because of the mercies of the Lord (Lamentations 3:22). Our adversary, the devil is roaring like a lion seeking ways to devour us. For his evil work, he uses some people also (1 Peter 5:8; John 10:10). Because some evil people become the tools in the hand of the devil, good people especially those who are God’s children are put into great hardship and made to suffer. But, those who trust God and hold fast to Him always, find that His promises are faithful (Hebrews 10:23). They are kept in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). God blesses them and saves them from all dangers and designs of the devil. Let us not fret and fume when we face dangers and oppositions in life. Our God has already won the victory for us on the cross. So, no power of the enemy can hurt us (Luke 10:19). In times of trouble let us offer the prayer just as king David did. “Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.” (Psalm 40:11).
Once there lived an official who executed his work sincerely and with godly fear whilst his co-workers were engaged in idle gossip and other pleasures. So, those people who loved sinful ways felt that this man good man blocked their fun and frolic at office. They always tried to bring false accusations against him and make him leave that office. But, this God fearing man was not only faithful in his work but he also continued to pray for those people who were trying to make him fall. Finally, at a particular stage he was about to be sacked from his job. Yet, he did not lose heart at all. He continued to work faithfully. In a miraculous way, all the weapons that were formed against him did not prosper and he came out unharmed by the power of God.
This official, in spite of all the opposition from various quarters, was blessed by God and rose to higher positions in his office. And some of his adversaries who saw this miracle, slowly started following the Lord. When evil people rise against us, our Lord by His grace, will save us and help us to go higher and higher in our lives. Dear Friend! Cheer up and rejoice in your lives (Psalm 59:10).

Loving Redeemer!
Though my adversaries plot against me, today, I know that Your grace and lovingkindness are sufficient for me to overcome all the opposition of the enemies. I thank You and praise You for blessing me and giving me victory over my enemies by Your grace and truth.
