Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.
He rubbed his eyes and wondered, “What is this that I see?”
He thought, “Just three isn’t it? Who is the other person walking there without my permission and command?” His mind boggled.
Then king Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king's command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way." Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon. (Daniel 3:28-30).
When the king saw the angel appearing in the furnace he said that his face looked like son of the gods. That angel was none other than the God of gods. Yes, God Himself appeared in the furnace with those three young men, because they refused to obey the command of the king and never denied God. They did not bow down before any one other than the God of heaven.
In the same way we should also be zealous for the Lord. Whatever we do must bring honour and glory to the Lord of the Cross. It is the Lord Jesus who gave up His life for us. He left all His glory and offered Himself as a supreme sacrifice on the Cross for us. He fulfilled the will of His Father perfectly. That should be our vision also. Then He shall appear in our midst even when we pass through fiery trials and temptations.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2).
No weapon forged against us will prevail (Isaiah 54:17). He shall also help us to come out of the fire triumphantly.
When Shadrach , Meshach, Abednego came out of the furnace, the great king Nebuchadnezzar declared to the whole world, “No other god can save in this way.” He also passed a decree that any one who did not worship this God must be cut into pieces and his house be turned into piles of rubble. Because of those three Hebrews young men nations opened for the Lord.
Dear Friend! This should be our ministry also. When we go out and preach His word, nations are opened for Jesus. That is our holy life, personal life and the love we have for the Lord. Let us cling on to the Lord just like Job who said, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him” (Job 13:15). Let us always lift up Jesus our Saviour who was crucified on the Cross. Let us present our requests to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving without getting anxious about anything (Philippians 4:60).
Please involve in activities pertaining to the Kingdom of God this month zealously without worrying about anything and also lead your family enthusiastically. Then the angels of God shall come seeking you. You too shall walk with angels of God. You shall also see the heaven open with angels ascending and descending carrying out the command of God.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
Help me to have the godly reverence that the three Hebrew young men had for You and bow down only to You. Please enable me to know that You abide with me always in every circumstance that I may be passing through. Nothing happens in my life without Your intervention. May Your goodness and mercy follow me all through my life.
