Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel.
How blessed are those families that have the privilege of saying, “We are for signs and wonders in Israel.” (Isaiah 8:18). Such families will definitely be happy and joyful always. Unfortunately, these days, quarrel, jealousy, arrogance, bitterness, hatred and enmity are widely prevalent in most of the families (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Newspapers, inform us about murders, thefts, and other blood-curdling incidents. The main reason for all these evil doings in this world is lack of peace in the family life. However, the promise word, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” tells us clearly how God comes and abides in the family and gives divine peace to those who trust in Him.
Dear reader, ask God to keep you and your family members as signs and wonders in the world which is plunged in darkness. You pray to God faithfully “Dear God, remove all the evil thoughts and bad habits from my life. Help my children and my family members to walk worthy of Your inestimable love. Help us to lead a life fully pleasing in Your sight and be the signs and wonders for Your glory” (Colossians 1:10). Surely God will give this grace to you when you look up to Him and walk in His ways.
In a family, the husband was a god-fearing man who prayed to God daily and led a righteous life. He got rid of all the evil thoughts and bad habits from his life. His life was pleasing in the eyes of God and he obtained favour in the sight of God. Seeing his godly life, his wife being impressed started following the Lord in a similar way. She sought the Lord diligently with all her mind, soul, strength and might by reading the Word of God and offering prayers whenever she could get hold of time. Children were born to them and they brought them up also in the godly ways. By their own example in life, they made their children follow Jesus at all times. So, God blessed his descendants as well. The whole family was filled with the Holy Spirit. God strengthened them and they glorified His name. God took them in His hands and used them as tools to work miracles and signs for the glory of His name. You who are reading this may also yearn for such a glorious spiritual life. If you do so, I firmly believe that God will quench your thirst for such a wonderful life. Besides blessing you as an individual, God will also bless the members of your family collectively and would enable you all to taste and see how good the Lord is (Psalm 34:8).

Loving Lord,
I know how happy it would be when the family joins together and live in You. Today help me and my family to serve You and to glorify Your name like Joshua. Give my family and me the grace to be signs and wonders for You in our lives. In the precious name of our Lord Jesus I pray.
