OBEY THE LORD !!Samuel Paul Dhinakaran

“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”    (James 4:7)

The Dhinakarans Dearly beloved, when we step back from the presence of the Lord, we fall into sin. The devil brings the lusts of the world before us and makes us to fall into sin. The Word of God says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). We, the children of God should not fall into the lusts of this world. Many times we convince ourselves saying, “Let me do this once and not repeat it again.” But once we fall into the trap of sin, Satan will make us fall repeatedly and he will never allow us to come out from sin. Your sins will grasp you like the spider’s web.

Remember, your life is a gift from God. You are precious in the sight of the Lord. Don’t lose the life that God has given you. The Lord promises, “I will give you hope and a good prosperous future and I will meet all your needs” (Jeremiah 29:11). The worldly pleasures and stress will lead you to sin and divert your attention. But the Lord Jesus Christ says, “Follow me, give me your heart; surrender your life to me. I will make your failures a success. I will bless your future. Your life will prosper and you will be a blessing. I will pour out my spirit upon you.”

How blessed are the promises of the Lord. The scripture says, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it” (Matthew 16:25). Yes, it is true. Those who want to live their lives enjoying the worldly pleasures and lust will disappear soon. But those who trust in the Lord will live and no evil will harm them. Their lives will prosper. Surrender your life to the Lord. He will lead you. You will see the guidance of the Lord in your life.

Today we find many young people losing their lives. For example, students studying in school and college prefer to be more like a hero. They like to show heroism. They want to live a pleasant life. Other students who look at them think that, “I should also resemble them. He has money, reputation and fame. They are very lucky enough to have all such things in their life”. Friend, the Satan shows them as great heroes to others because they are behind the worldly pleasures and doing all the sinful acts. Take time to analyse yourself and correct your ways. Let not the worldly things separate you from the Lord.

Beloved, why should we the children of God go behind the worldly things? The Bible says, “ For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26). When we follow the footsteps of the Lord, the Lord is happily waiting to bless us. He will take care of our lives. We are precious in the sight of the Lord. He will bless you and make you special in this world too.

Loving Heavenly Father,

I am weak in my flesh and fall easily into the evil traps laid by Satan. Lord, forgive me. Fill me with Your Spirit and strengthen me. Walk along with me every day of my life. Be my guide and show me the way, one day at a time. Sweet Jesus, help me to be like You. keep me away from the worldly things. Transform me completely that I may be Your faithful child forever. Help me to experience the power of Your Spirit every moment of my life. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
