Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.    (Psalm 62:8)

The Dhinakarans Beloved! Jesus is a prayer answering God. Through prayer, we pour out our heart’s desires and complaints to Him. It is likely that most often, we share our heart to the one, we trust the most. Yes! We don’t share our heart to everyone we come across in life. For example, when you are going to a park or when you are on a street and you see a stranger there. Will you share all your heart’s longings or desires to them? No! Never will you do that. So have you anytime wondered, how can you tell your problems to God who is not visible to you? Paul writes in 2 Timothy 1:12, “ I know whom I have believed ” Yes! We must also know who is our God so that we can pour out our hearts to Him. Unless we know Him, our hearts cannot get connected with Him.

All of us know, when two loving friends meet, they have a good time of laughter and fun, they share their innermost desires to each other and they are closely knit so much so that they don’t have any secrets between them. None knows their secrets and neither do they want anyone else know them. This is how we need to get close to God. He must be our close friend so that we can share all our heart's desires and needs to Him.

In the Scriptures we read, ‘…without holiness, no one can see Him (Hebrews 12:14). Yes! Without holiness, we cannot get connected with God. It is this holiness that connects you, with God as a friend with friend. That is why David cries out in Psalm 139:23-24, “ Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” In Psalm 51:10 he also cries, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” David here pleads for holiness. Like David, we need to also seek His holiness. We are all born into this world with sin. But our hope is Jesus. The Bible says Jesus poured His soul into death to cleanse our sins and souls (Isaiah 53:12). So when we approach Him, He washes us with His blood and makes us clean.

Open your heart and say , ‘Lord, create a new heart in me’. God will forgive you and your heart will be connected with Jesus, your loving God. We read in Psalm 62:8, “Trust in him at all times, you people;pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Now, with this confidence, pour out your heart to Him.No doubt! Your prayers will be answered!

I come to You this day, with all that I am and with all my problems and worries. Oh, Saviour of my soul! Cleanse and wash me by the precious blood You had shed for me on the cross of Calvary. This day, create in me a clean heart and sanctify me. Make me Your child so that I will be satisfied with Your presence all the days of my life. Jesus, You know all my struggles and pain. I lay them all before You. Please take care of everything. With confidence that You are all sufficient for me, I offer this prayer, with thanksgiving.
