Wisdom opens our eyes and leads us in the right and peaceful way. Without the wisdom of God, we are spiritually blind in this world. Even though we see with our physical eyes, we don't see the blessings that God has set for us. We read in 2 Corinthians 4:4, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” The devil blinds our eyes so that we don't see the light of Christ. We don't see the real way; the truthful way that we ought to walk; the peaceful way that we ought to go.
The Bible says, Adam, had God-given authority over all the things in the world. God said, “I leave the entire garden, the animal, the plants and the fishes of the sea to you. You are the ruler of this garden, filled with the glory of God”. Everything was perfectly well. But there came the devil to tempt Adam and Eve. He said, “Adam, rely upon your own strength and wisdom. Eat this fruit and you can become a god.” They were deceived and misled. Adam took the fruit and ate. What happened? Did he become a god? Was he seated on a throne in majesty and glory? Adam went to the bushes shaking in fear and hid himself from God who had filled him with all glory. Instead of authority, the devil made him to hide in fear. That’s the harsh reality of what happens when we live a worldly life; when we live a life following the ways of the devil, forsaking the wisdom of God and the glory of God.
Friends! God has designed a peaceful, right and a blessed way, even before we were born in this world. But the devil blinds us and makes us operate on our own strength. When our eyes are blinded we loose the passions which God places in our hearts through His Spirit. The devil also sucks away our passion for doing what God wants us to do. He takes away the passion out of us so that we become very lazy, lethargic, without any enthusiasm to do anything in life. Finally, what happens? We end up in a weak position and in a destroyed situation because, we know that our strength and wisdom is only limited. Finally, we end up curled in a corner, crying for God’s help.

So cling on to Jesus today. He will fill you with His divine wisdom and help you to be successful in your studies and work. Yes! You will shine like stars and be prosperous!
