REMAIN IN THE LORD! (Late) Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.    (John 15:5)

The Dhinakarans Beloved! The prayer of our dear Lord Jesus was, “Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are one—I in them and You in Me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me” ( John 17:21-23). Yes! God the Father and God the Son, Lord Jesus Christ are one. Likewise, Jesus Christ desires that we also may be one in Him.

Today, How can we be united with God? What is required from us? Primarily, we need to have the same desire of Jesus Christ. We need to obey the commandments of the Father, follow them in our lives and remain in His love just as Jesus did when lived on the earth.

Jesus also told us in John 15:4,5,7, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me, you can do nothing. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." Yes! If we remain in Jesus, our lives will also bear fruit pleasing to the Lord. Jesus said this so that the joy of the Lord will rest in our lives with its fullness.

But, how can we continue to remain in Jesus? In the gospel of John 6:56, Jesus said, “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in them.” Yes! When we remember the atonement of Jesus Christ and part take in the Holy Communion, you and I can remain in Him till His return and reap the returns of heaven in its full measure. Therefore give your life to Jesus and remain in Him, following His ways. Jesus will do great things for you. Be of good cheer!

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

I praise You and thank You for Your loving mercies and grace over my life. Master, help me to remain in You and follow Your ways all the days of my life so that my life will yield fruit pleasing at Your side always. To You be all the glory and praise, in Jesus’ name,

Amen.
