Beloved! The LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon or destroy you (Deuteronomy 4:31). Are you bogged down thinking what will happen to your future and life? Are you afraid thinking of the consequences of your sins? Do not worry. Jesus offers forgiveness of sins and hope for a great future.
In a large family, there lived an aged grandmother. One day, a scorpion bit her and she lamented over it. She cried, saying, “Why should all the bad things happen to me. Why not anybody else faces dangers, but only me. Why God allows all these?”
Today do you also feel that everything is acting against you? Take heart! Jesus is a righteous and compassionate God. He will not condemn, but will forgive all your sins and give you a new hope and future.
In Luke 18:10-13, we read about two men who went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like the robbers, evildoers, adulterers or even like the tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ But the tax collector stood at a distance. He did not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
Dear beloved! Today the Lord is expecting us to pray the prayer of the tax collector who humbled himself and sought the favor of the Lord. James 4:6 says, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Therefore humble yourself before Him and seek His forgiveness. Jesus will hear your prayers, give you a new life and exalt you to great heights. Those who fall to their knees in humility and supplication to God, surrendering their lives to Him completely and trusting in the integrity of His promise are rewarded with immeasurable blessings.
I give my life into Your loving hands this day. Please forgive all my sins and give me a new start. Lord, in Your great mercy, please be compassionate to me and hear my prayers. From this day on, I dedicate to live a holy life, pleasing in Your sight. Holy Spirit, guide me, lead me, bless me and take complete control over me. To You be all the glory, honor and praise. In Jesus most precious name I pray,
