Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!     (2 Corinthians 9:15 )

The Dhinakarans Beloved, Christmas is nearing and many people have the practice of just attending the church service only on Christmas. While the others are regular for church in diligently seeking the Lord, having Christ in them. In which of these categories do you fall? Today, the Lord wants to enlighten you about the divine meaning of Christmas.

Acts 13:39 says, “Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.” Yes! Through Jesus, we obtain redemption from slavery of sins, forgiveness of our iniquities and restoration of His blessings instead of curses. John 3:16 illuminates the truth, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The great love of God for the world is revealed in the birth of Christ. Only when an individual experience this love, he/she can really understand the celebration of Christmas.

Zacchaeus was a man in the Bible, who came to know this great love. One day, when Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through, Zacchaeus, the chief tax collector who was a wealthy man wanted to see Jesus. He was not a devotee but he just wanted to see who Jesus was. Because he was short, he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see Him, since Jesus was coming that way. Jesus reached the spot, looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed Him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood up and confessed his sins to the Lord. The Lord was delighted in him. That day, salvation did not come to him alone but his entire house was saved (Luke 19:1-9).

Beloved! God does not want anyone to perish in sin, but wants everyone to repent. That is why Jesus was born in this world so that He could give His life for us on the cross by which we would benefit deliverance from sin, live a holy life pleasing to God, enjoy the fellowship with God. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15) Are you ready to experience this love in your life today? This is the day and now is the time. Kneel down and surrender yourself to God. Plead the Lord saying, "Lord, I give my life into Your hands, please forgive my sins and make me Your child." I believe that our loving Lord will surely hear your prayers and help you to live a holy life. Wish you a great Christmas!

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the great love You have shown to me by sending Your only Son into this world so that I would be free from the clutches of my sins and live victoriously. Master, thank You for speaking to my heart. I offer this prayer with thanksgiving in Jesus’ name,
