My dear beloved, we are going to celebrate the birth of Jesus within few days. The greeting on everyone's lips in these days is “Happy Christmas! In the Bible, a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”(Luke 2:14). Why they should do so?
When God laid the earth’s foundation, morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy (Job 38:4,7). Everyone was glad looking at His creation. Then, when the Almighty God in human form, came to earth, Angels remembered His creation, shouted and praised Him for His arrival into this earth.
In the year 1967, July 20, NASA sent Apollo 8, the first Spaceflight all the way to the moon. Neil Armstrong became more and more excited to step into the moon when he received the command from the radio station. Everyone who was hearing this through Radio was amazed and celebrated with joy.
Just think, how the Heavens would have rejoiced and celebrated the arrival of Jesus Christ to this earth. The heavens were filled with immense joy. Even today, let us be filled with that joy and say, “Glory to God in the highest, You are Almighty, I give glory to You for You have to this earth to save me from my sins.”
The One who came in search of you is not an ordinary person, but an Almighty living God. He gave Himself to humanity to redeem lost souls back to Himself. He did that by taking the punishment on the cross for each of our sins, so we could be forgiven. Christmas is the celebration of God coming to earth. Invite Him into your heart. You are God’s potential treasure. There is nothing else on this planet more priceless to God than YOU!
Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to this earth many years ago. Thank You that He paid the punishment for all my sins by dying on the cross. I invite You into my heart and place my trust in You to be my Savior. Guide me through the dark times of my life and give me courage to live for You alone. In Jesus Name, Amen.
