POWER OF PRAYER! Paul Dhinakaran

...pour out your hearts to him...     (Psalm 62:8)

The Dhinakarans Dear beloved, prayer is a powerful tool through which we communicate our needs and desires to God. God of the universe, looks into our hearts and pour down heavy showers of blessings upon us when we approach Him with prayer and supplication.

Hannah in the Bible was a barren woman. One day, she went into the presence of God and wept bitterly in her deep anguish and pain. Her prayer was, “LORD Almighty, if You will only look on Your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” Eli the priest in the temple, observing the way she was crying, thought she must be drunk. He said, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.” Hannah replied, “Not so, my lord, I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the LORD. Don't take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” The Lord heard her cry, opened her womb, blessed her with children and turned her anguish into joy (1 Samuel 1:7-15).

Dear beloved! Are you troubled by your circumstances today? Pour out your heart to God and trust in Him (Psalm 62:8). He will never forsake you. The Psalmist in distress says, “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (Psalm 42:2). He then says in Psalm 42:4, “These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng.” Yes! As a child of God, draw near to God in faith, (James 4:8) pouring out your heart to Him. Then He will hear you, and grant you the desires of your heart and make you glad. Trust in Him.

Your rod and Your staff will comfort. Yes! Lord, I surrender myself completely to You trusting that You will make all things right for me. In Jesus most precious name,

Amen.
