Beloved! When we invite the Lord Jesus Christ in our home, He brings us perfect unity and harmony.
When I got married in the year 1959, the first thing I and my husband did together as a family is, we knelt down in prayer and invited the Lord to come and live with us. We surrendered our lives into His hands, saying, “Lord Jesus, You have united us so that we could complement, love and help each other as couples.”
In the Bible, we read about a house that was built on the foundation of a rock. Jesus said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash” (Matthew 7:24-27).
Yes! My dear beloved, our families should be built on foundation of the Word of God, so that we will never be shaken. The Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 4:12, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Therefore, invite God in your family and ask Him to fill each one of you with unity and peace. Kneel in prayer with your spouse and children every day and surrender your lives to His care, concern, love, and protection. In doing so, you will enjoy God's joyous presence and spread the fragrance of His love to the people around you.
I invite You this day to come and abide in my family. Lord, give us Your strength to accept and help one another in our weaknesses. Master, bind my family with Your divine love so that nothing will separate us. Also, Lord, help us to overcome all the difficulties that we are facing right now. Let Your angels surround my home and protect everyone, from every harm and danger.I offer this prayer in Jesus’ mighty name,
