CONNECTED WITH CHRIST

To be connected with the Lord is a divine experience! “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17). It is the Lord Jesus Christ abiding in our spirit, soul and body and we in Him. We live in Him and through Him. King David had this divine experience. David always set the Lord before him and the Lord was at his right hand (Psalm 16:8). On account of this divine experience, David could overcome all his tormentors and enemies who wanted to kill him. He trusted the Lord with all his heart at all times of his life. So, God made him the king and gave him all His choicest blessings. Dear friend, whom do you trust in your life? Do you trust men and depend on them for your help? If so, God will forsake you and cast you off. Then, a day will come, when you will be forsaken by man. Who will help you at such a stage? Dear reader! Learn to walk and talk with God. Be joined to Him by leading a pleasing life before Him. He will surely bless you and your family abundantly.
Sadhu Sundar Singh, a devout man, did not know the Lord Jesus Christ in the beginning years of his life. However, when he accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour, he committed his life into the hands of the loving and living Lord Jesus Christ connecting himself with HIM just as king David did to be testified as a ‘man after HIS own heart”. One day, Sadhu Sundar Singh was alone in a forest meditating and praying in the presence of the Lord. During his quiet time, a tiger which sprang forward approached him. For sometime it looked at Sadhu, then it just lay down next to him like a lamb. Oh! What a wonder! Even a ferocious tiger remained calm like a calf because Sadhu Sundar Singh who was enveloped in God’s presence. Likewise, the wicked devil and his horde may hatch plans to defeat and destroy us but if we are one with Him in His presence then He will surely see that no harm befalls us. No power on earth could defeat us in our lives. Yes! He, who is joined to the Lord, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty God (Psalm 91:1).
Therefore, dear friend, consider your ways! Confess all your sins and shortcomings before the Lord and stay connected with Him always. Then He shall bless you with His abundant blessings (Jeremiah 17:10).
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
From today onwards, give me the divine experience of being joined to You. Give me the freedom from the lusts of flesh and the world. Hold my hand and lead me! Giver me the strength to defeat the snares of the devil and his wicked men. Give me the grace to look at You at all times of my life. Bless me abundantly!
In the mighty name of our Lord Jesus I pray.
