Jesus said, "Come and Dine"

After the resurrection of Jesus, He appeared again for the third time to His disciples by the sea of Tiberias. Simon Peter expressed his desire to go out for fishing to some of the other disciples. Then, they all agreed together and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize it was Jesus.

He called out to them - "Friends, haven't you any fish?" "No", they answered. He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some. When they obeyed and believed Jesus and did accordingly, there was a miraculous catch of a large number of fishes that they were unable to drag the net.

John knew that it was Jesus who spoke to them and told Peter. The moment Peter's spiritual eyes were opened and he realized that it was none other than the resurrected Saviour, he at once girded himself and jumped into the water to reach Jesus. The other disciples followed in the boat, hauling the net full of fish. Then, they roasted the fish. When Simon Peter dragged the net ashore to show it to Jesus, it was full of large fishes - a total of one hundred and fifty three! But even with so many fishes in the net, it was not torn. Then Jesus called them for breakfast and took the bread and fish and gave it to them. The disciples never dared to ask who He was as they knew it was Jesus.

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Peter - "Simon son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?" "Yes Lord!" he said, "You know I love you". Jesus said, "Feed my lambs". Jesus asked the same question to Peter for the second time and Peter gave the same answer. Then Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep". Again for the third time, Jesus repeated the question. Peter was hurt as he was reminded of how he had failed to love Jesus in the past and the way he had denied him three times. The Peter said, "Lord You know all things; You know that I love You". Jesus said, "Feed My Sheep". Sheep and lamb represents 'people'. Thus, Peter was restored back to do the Lord's ministry. Then, Jesus taught him many things and indicated to kind of death He will have to suffer in order to glorify God.
