A Story for kids

WATER TURNED INTO WINE

When Jesus was on this earth, He performed a number of miracles and wonders; and the first miracle among them was 'water changed to wine'.

He, along with his mother and his disciples, went to a wedding in the city of Cana in Galilee. When the family having the wedding feast ran out of wine to give to the guests, Mary, the mother of Jesus asked him to help them.

So, Jesus asked the servants to fill up some big stone jars with water, up to the brim.

Then, He said, "Take some of this wine to the man in charge of the feast, who entertains the guests." The servants did, and when the man in charge tasted it, the water had become the best-tasting wine, although he did not realize where it had come from. Then, he called the bridegroom aside and said to him, "Everyone brings the best wine first and then the cheap quality wine, only after the guests have drank to their satisfaction; but in this case, the best wine has been served only at the very last moment.

Thus, Jesus exhibited His greatness of power to His disciples and they believed that He is truly the Son of God.
