Part-09

NIMI: Hello, Daisy! You seem to design the storming of some big Fortress

NASH: I'm sure you'll pull it down in one onslaught!

DAISY: You are teasing me!  The problems arising in our home are more dreadful than the Shower of scuds.  One   never knows from where and when a problem will crop up.

DAISY: To add to our trouble, sometimes the bomb blasts on our own side.

NIMI: You mean that Satan's tricks are so dreadful?

NASH: Why? Hasn't God given you the powerful Patriot missile of prayer to overcome them?

NIMI: That only means you haven't prayed on time for the proper cause.

NASH: Your version sounds like the story of the Thief of Baghdad, Daisy.

NIMI: It is a fine story told by my grand-father.  A big merchant went to Baghdad to trade there with a lot of things and he had to pass through a desert.

NASH: There were a lot of thieves in the desert.  They knew all about the merchants of Baghdad.

DAISY: So, news about the merchant also filtered to the thieves of Baghdad.  I suppose?

NIMI: Not only that.  A Baghdad thief was all set to rob the merchant.

NASH: But that merchant was a fervent praying Christian.  He would go to sleep every night only praying for a long time.

NIMI: The thief of Baghdad was surprised.  He realized that there was raised around the Merchant a formidable fortress which none could scale.

NASH: He was wondering how he built it overnight in a dreary desert.  He lamented that  there wasn't a single chink or crevice, which could be used to pull it down.

DAISY: So, his prayer was a strong and sturdy wall around him.  Then how did the robber  enter in?

NIMI: Well! That was the origin of the problem in patriot one day, being too tired the Merchant went off to sleep without saying this prayers.

NASH: So a small chink developed in the wall and the Thief of Baghdad entered in.  He woke up the merchant and asked him the secret of the sturdy wall.  The merchant explained to him the power of prayer and also confessed how the hole developed

NIMI: Eager to have a God who could raise such walls all in a moment, the Thief of Baghdad accepted the Lord.

DAISY: So, I think we should also begin to pray, not yielding to temptation.

"Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full."    (John 16:24).
