Always Precious

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a fifty rupee note, in the room of a hundred people.

The speaker asked, "Who would like this fifty rupee note?" Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this fifty rupee note to one of you but first, let me do this." He then crumpled up the fifty rupee note.

He asked, "Who still wants it?" Still hands were up in the air.

"Well, what if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty and asked, "Who still wants it?" Still hands went up into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what was done to the money, it was still wanted because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth fifty rupees.

Friend, many times in our lives we are crumpled, crushed by the circumstances in life. We feel we are useless and worthless. But the Lord Jesus Christ values us and we are precious in His sight.

“You are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth” (Deuteronomy 7:6).

So let us draw close to God and walk in His ways.
