A day of fasting and prayer was conducted in the capital city of Lucknow on the 21st of April 2007, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, a renowned evangelist and National Convenor for National Prayer Alliance along with Senior Pastors of the State of Uttar Pradesh offered prayers for the peaceful and fair conduct of the ongoing elections in the state.

Nearly 4000 people of various ethnic and social background from every corner of the State gathered at Christ Church College Ground (Opp. to GPO Lucknow 226001), and gladly joined with Dr. Paul Dhinakaran in fasting and prayer for the whole day, not minding the scorching heat of 42įC and pleaded to God that His chosen vessels will be elected in this election.

During the prayer, the Holy Spirit descended upon Dr. Paul Dhinakaran mightily and he prophesied what is going to happen in the state of UP in the coming days which is as follows,

  • A dynamic youthful leader will quickly emerge and rise to power to lead the State. That person will be loved by all and will have a clean administration set up.
  • That person will gain the acceptance of all in the party and political acceptance of all other parties and the people and will unite to work together for the welfare of the state.
  • The State and Central relations will prosper and funds will flow. The Chief Minister will have new development schemes and will be anxious and active to eradicate poverty.
  • Uttar Pradesh will become self reliant in all respects.
  • The family values will be strengthened. Peace in families will be established. Abortion rate will go down. Then God will bless the state with peace. Curses shall be broken.
  • The per capita income will rise up and the youth will feel secure. Investments shall flow in.
  • The divisions amongst the people shall be broken and a spirit of unity will descend.
  • The people of Uttar Pradesh will become great philanthropist and care for the needy and poor.
  • Uttar Pradesh will become Godís garden. He will walk amongst His people and will be their God. (II Corinthians 6:16, 18)
