Nagaland Prayer Festival was organised from 11 to 13 February at Dimapur by Nagaland
Baptist Church Council (NBCC). Paul Dhinakaran, renowned Christian Speaker, motivator,
Chancellor of Karunya University (Coimbatore), co-founder and President of Jesus
Calls International Ministries (Chennai), also a Member of National Committee for
Monitoring Minority Education (formed by MHRD) and a Member, National Mission for
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan was the main speaker of this event and SAMUEL PAUL (son of
Paul Dhinakaran) also addressed the gathering.
The main objective of this prayer festival was to pray for the Peace and Prosperity
of Nagaland State. In the past, Paul Dhinakaran has been the speaker of similar
prayer festivals held in Chekiye New, Dimapur in 2006 and Kohima in 1988.
Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, Gen. Secretary, NBCC and the organizing committee had
already invited all irrespective of caste, creed or religion. People from various
parts of Nagaland and neighbouring states in North East State participated in large
numbers. Special arrangements for parking, free accommodation and food facility
through SEESHA was made.
On the 11th February, Paul Dhinakaran also inaugurated the NAGALAND PRAYER TOWER
which is located in the 1st floor (above Axis Bank), Purana Bazar. This Prayer Tower
is open from 8 am to 8 pm for people to come for prayer and counseling. People can
also contact at the phone No. 224224 from 14th February for Prayers. Paul and his
team have so far set up 29 Jesus Calls Prayer Towers in India and abroad. The Nagaland
Prayer Tower is the 30th Jesus Calls Prayer Tower to be established.
