The 1st day’s meeting started on Thursday, the 21st of May 2009. Even by 4 ‘o’clock the grounds of the Durwa Prabat school were filled with more than 50,000 people. At around 5:30 p.m., it started to rain but in spite of this set back, the faith of the people was not shaken. It was then that Dr. Paul Dhinakaran ascended the dais. He bowed his head and began to pray fervently for God to stop the rain. In a short while, the rains miraculously stopped.
This shows how God gave heed to the prayers of the man of God, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran and stopped the rains. On the Dias were seated, the main organizer of this prayer meeting, Bishop Nelson Lakda, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran, Miss Sharon Paul, Miss Sweety Paul, Bishop O.K. Tirkey, Mayor Rama Kalko, Pastor Joe Sweet, his daughter Jana Sweet and others.
During the message, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran spoke about God’s love. He said that it was available at any time and was offered without any precondition. He went on to say that God not only removes the darkness brought about by our sin but also removes the causes that brought in this sin.
Jesus was wounded on the cross for our sickness and infirmities so that we would receive healing. When we call on Him. He will remove every sickness from us. This was the message of hope that Dr. Paul Dhinakaran delivered on the first day of the Prayer Festival.
On the 3rd and 4th day of Jharkhand Prayer Festival, more than 300,000 people thronging the HEL grounds. Right from 2.00 PM (afternoon), people started coming and by 5 PM the ground was almost full.
On the 3rd day (23rd May) Sis. Evangeline Paul delivered God’s message and a great out pouring of the Holy Spirit was witnessed. A young girl who had lump (cancerous) in her breast was healed instantaneously. Similarly on the last day (24th May) the Lord used Dr. Paul Dhinakaran in a marvelous manner. The move of the Holy Spirit was so mighty that the people were immensely blessed.
The newly elected Member of Parliament of the Ranchi Loksabha Constituency Shri. Subodh Kant Sahai also participated in this Prayer Festival to receive God’s blessings. Also, noted political leaders of Jharkhand like Shri. Stephen Marandi and Shri. Neil Tirkey also participated in this Prayer Festival. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran offered a special prayer for God to bless the State of Jharkhand. He also prophesied that in the coming days, the State of Jharkhand would witness many developmental activities. New investments would pour into the State and the youth of the state would be used mightily in the development of the nation.
Sister Sharon’s worship session on all the days of the Prayer Festival invoked the presence of God in a mighty way. The youth of Jharkhand were thrilled to see young Sharon leading the people in an awesome praise and worship which brought the Holy Spirit upon them in a great way. Sweety’s new album ‘Love Lifted me’ was a big hit among the youngsters. On the whole, Jharkhand Prayer Festival was a heavenly experience for the people of Ranchi.
