In the year 2009, just before the parliament elections were to take place, the Government
found itself in a precarious position. There was no unity amony the allies and hence
confusion and disappointment prevailed. The 21st century prophet Paul Dhinakaran,
whom the Lord is using mightily to prepare the world for His second coming was filled
with a burden to pray for the nation and its leaders.
A special prayer meeting was held for the then upcoming general elections in the
month of April 2009. Fervent prayers were offered for the members of the parliament.
The leaders of Christian churches gathered together and started a chain prayer and
prayed continuously for 72 hours with fasting under the leadership of Paul Dhinakaran.
THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE JOINED THEM AND PRAYED FOR THE NATION from 6.00 p.m on the 1st
of April to 6.00 p.m. on the 4th of April’2009.
In answer to the fervent prayers offered for the nation, the Lord revealed the plans
that He had for the forthcoming parliament elections. In regard to the elections
the Lord said, “This will be a surprise but I will fulfill it.”
