With an acclamation to cry before the elections and later rejoice victoriously, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Obeying God’s word, along with the Saints of God, Leaders and the people from the Churches of all denomination, organized a 72 Hrs prayer for the 2019 elections in India, the world’s largest democratic Nation. This was an ongoing prayer held from the 2nd of April 6 pm until till the 5th of April 6 PM where prayers from all the 543 constituencies in India were unanimously lifted to the Lord Almighty. The Dhinakarans ministered in 10 major cities in those days.
Thousands of pastors, leaders, institution heads and believers gathered together and prayed endlessly on all these days of the prayer meeting. Without blaming anybody for the happenings in our nation, they looked up to God in a prayer for forgiveness of our own sins, that the homes, cities and churches in our nation may experience the peace and blessings of God. It is God’s will for his children to pray for their nation and the rulers and the nation. As we serve a God who hears and answers the prayers of the faithful, it is then our privilege and duty to pray for kings and leaders of the nation, so that we can live in peace. (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
During these prayer meetings God revealed to Dr. Paul Dhinakaran of what is going to happen in this election and as God’s people what we should do, and when and why. The Lord spoke to Dr. Paul Dhinakaran through Isaiah 4:5 “the Lord will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over everything the glory will be a canopy”
The Dhinakarans started the 72 hrs prayer for India on 2nd April in Chennai, with the leaders of several churches including Pastor D. Mohan (Assemblies of God), Dr. Devasagayam - former Bishop (CSI), Synod of Pentecostal Churches, ECI, Methodist, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Angelican, Salvation Army, NLJEMS, Siswa, Trinity Full Gospel, FMPB with many others and institutions.
It was a glorious time for the Dhinakarans and the gathering to pray together at Hyderabad as part of the 72 hrs prayer for the Nation. This was the second stop for the Dhinakarans to minister with the people of that city, sharing God's plans and prophecies. The 72 hrs Prayer for the Nation at Indore, Madhya Pradesh was glorious. This was the 3rd stop in the country wide journey praying along with the Heads of several churches (Rt.Rev.Manoj Charan, Rev.Suresh Carleton,Bishop Chacko, Rev.Neena Charan, Rev.Arjun Singh, Rev.Blyso Varghese, Titua C Thomas) and Institutions joined in praying for the Nation of India.
Mumbai, Maharashtra, was the 4th stop in the country wide journey for the 72 hrs Prayer for the Nation. With the wisdom and direction of God it was wonderful to gather the Heads of the Churches, Institutions and other children of God and pray in one accord for God's will to happen in our nation. The 5th location the Dhinakarans ministered to the gathering was Patna, Bihar. Soaked by the presence of God it was a powerful time in the presence of God praying along with the Heads of the Churches and the believers of Patna. God strengthened the Dhinakarans to minister at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh which was 6th stop in the country wide journey for the 72 hrs Prayer for the Nation. Strengthening in the presence of God, the Dhinakarans prayed along with the Heads of the Churches, Institutions and other children of God of Lucknow. Guwahati, Assam, is the 8th stop in the country wide journey for the 72 hrs Prayer for the Nation. Empowered by God strength the Dhinakarans efficaciously ministered with the people of Guwahati who had gathered with a great burden to see God's hand leading our nation. Mrs. Bobby Boro, Rev. God continued to use the Dhinakarans mightily in the city of Kolkata, West Bengal. This was their 9th stop in the countrywide journey for the 72 hrs Prayer for the Nation. Gurdaspur, Punjab was 11th stop in the country wide journey for the prayer for the Nation. Hundreds of thousands of people joined in praying for the peaceful conduct of the elections and God's plan for the nation by providing the right leadership and MPs. The prayer went on in the main cities covering 543 constituencies of the country till 5th evening 6 pm.
We believe in faith that our prayers have reached the throne of God from where our help will arrive. God is going to shake this nation with righteous deeds. All of those who gathered were filled in the presence of God and thanked the Lord for His promises from Isaiah 4:5.
