Seek the LordSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: Seek the Lord with your whole heart and you shall never lack any good thing. Beloved! You may face lack in your life but when you seek the Lord, He will cause all the lack to disappear and will fill you with abundance. Yes, the people of the Lord shall not lack any good thing. When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, the army of Pharaoh pursued hard after them. When the Israelites were at the Red Sea, death seemed to be inevitable for them as they were between the Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea. But God did an awesome miracle. He split the Red Sea into two halves and made them walk on the dry ground! (Psalm 78:13).
When the Pharaoh’s army pursued the Israelites into the sea, the waters covered them and drowned them. Similarly, the Lord will protect you from your enemies and will not allow evil to touch you when you seek Him.
There is no partiality with God and all are alike to Him. When you cry out to the Lord, He will surely answer you. “He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper” (Psalm 72:12).
The Lord will do exceedingly abundantly above that you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
A widow and her children sought the Lord fervently amidst their affliction. They neither had savings nor any support from others. The people said they would never again see good days in their lives. But the widowed mother sought the Lord firmly when she lost her husband. She worked hard and raised her children in the fear of the Lord. They would pray regularly and held onto the Lord firmly. The children studied well and received scholarships and pursued higher studies. They earned well and took care of their mother lovingly. Because they sought the Lord firmly, He lifted them up from their lowly state before others.
When you seek the Lord earnestly, He will still the storm in your life and defeat your enemies and crown you with victory. The Lord says, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27). There is nothing that is beyond His power. Seek the Lord with your whole heart and mind and your life shall overflow with victory, blessings and honour.
Prayer:
Gracious and Loving Father,
Help me to seek You with my whole heart and mind. Strengthen my prayer life and help me to seek You more in prayer in times of trouble and pain. Remove all the lack and fill my life with abundance. Father, help me to live a holy life and follow You faithfully amidst my problems. Lift me up in my life before the world and let them know that those who seek You will be blessed abundantly and never be put to shame. In Jesus’ name I pray.
