Dear friend, the Lord delights in causing His face shine upon you. Yes, while you wait on Him, He will surely answer and make His face shine upon you. King David whenever he faced troubles said, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God” (Psalm 42:11).
A young man was on a business trip to a certain city and wished to attend a church service on Sunday. He found the roads empty except a lone policeman on duty. He asked the policeman, “Sir, is there any church nearby?” The policeman drafted for him a rough sketch of the route to a church, which was at a considerable distance. Thanking the policeman, the young man started walking in the direction which was sketched out. After a short while, he came back to the policeman and asked him, “Sir, you are guiding me to a distant church; is there no church near-by?” The policeman replied that though there were many churches near by there was something special about the church which he had guided the young man. He said the faces of the people beamed with joy after attending the church there. It was the reason that he had guided him there.
Yes! The people who went to that church waited on the Lord and the Lord answered their prayers. That was the reason their faces glowed with joy.
The naval commanders kept a newly innovated submarine submerged in the deep sea for several days to put it on trial. When the commander of the submarine brought it up to the surface after the tests, people told him of the devastating storm that blew a while ago and how it had played havoc on the ships on the sea and was curious to know whether his submarine was safe. He said, “I was safely inside the little ship, submerged, in the deep sea; quite calm and there was no fear at all”
Yes! When you wait on the Lord, He will surround and protect You.
Dear friend, you may face storm like problems in your life and may be tossed about by them. But when you wait on the Lord, He will protect you and clam the storm in your life. Your face will beam with joy.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I praise You that You are a prayer answering God and whenever I wait on You, I will never be put to shame. Father, cause Your face to shine upon me always. Protect me from all evil. Calm all the storms in my life. Let mercy , joy and goodness follow me all my life. In Jesus’ name I pray.
