Comfort in troubleSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: The Lord shall comfort you in trouble and surround you with mercy and goodness in life. Beloved! Lord Jesus Christ loves you and cares for you. When you go through sufferings, the Lord will comfort and console you. When King David said, “If I say, ‘My foot slips,’ Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul (Psalm 94:18, 19).
Likewise, when problems arise and you are unable to battle them and say, “My foot slips and there is no one to sustain me”, He will comfort you with His grace.
Many years ago, when we were in need of a very big amount to buy a building for the Jesus Calls ministry, we had to face much suffering. We had given One lakh of rupees as advance and did not have the required money to remit as balance amount within the specified date. There were only a couple of days left and we had no one to help. My husband was employed in a bank at that time and tried to get loans from many banks but it was in vain. The owner of the building would contact my late father-in-law over the phone and speak harshly when we could not remit the money. His words cut like a knife and broke the heart of my father-in-law. At that time, a friend came to visit us and when he came to know of the situation, he promised to help us. He said, “I have an account in a bank in Chennai. Let me ask my bank manager and be a surety for the amount you require.” Then he left for the bank to enquire about it. We prayed with tears for God to do a miracle in our lives. The Lord started working. The bank manager consented to sanction the loan. Very soon, He helped us to get the loan through that friend. The Lord paved the way for the registration of that land for “Jesus Calls.”
Yes beloved, The Lord shall comfort and console you in times of trouble. He shall do a miracle and make you happy.
King David said, “Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, because You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me” (Psalm 86:17). The Lord did exactly as he had prayed. He comforted David during his trouble because he sought the Lord in his trouble. He made the enemies of King David his footstool. The Lord surrounded David with mercy, love, favour and goodness.
The Lord shall do the same for you. He shall protect you from evil. He will comfort and console you in trouble. The Lord will surround you with His love, mercy, favour and goodness and make you happy.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I am grateful to You for Your love. When I go through sufferings and say that my foot slips, You comfort and console me and carry me through. Father, surround me with Your mercy, goodness and favour so that the world will know You love me and I am Your beloved son/daughter. I praise and thank You that You answer me whenever I cry out to You. In Jesus’ name I pray.
