It is a great joy for me to wish you a Happy and prosperous New Year! May the good Lord’s presence be with you through out this New Year, everyday and bless you abundantly beyond measure.
Everybody seeks God’s blessings in the New Year and the Lord grants the desires. The greatest blessing you can have in your life is the presence of the Lord with you always. Our Loving Lord Jesus Christ promises us, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
When the Lord is with us, He shall go before us in our life (Isaiah 52:12). He will walk before you and will remove every obstacle that you would encounter in life. (Micah 2:13)
My father served in World War II. The Suez Canal is a busy and crucial waterway for ships to pass through. During World War II the canal was flooded with bombs for security reasons and no ship could easily pass through. A huge ship called the ‘Mile Sweeper’ would go ahead of the ship that passed through the Canal. It would sweep away all the floating bombs and make it safe for the ship to sail through. Similarly, our precious Lord will go before you and remove every obstacle in your life. Be of good cheer!
The Lord promises, “I will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12). Yes, the Lord will go before you and He shall also be a rear guard for you. He will protect you from behind.
During World War II the Allied Forces had gathered at the borders of Germany and were ready to march into Germany at any time. There was a very big expectation from both sides, “when will the war break?” On either side of the fence that was the border, both the Allied Forces and the German Forces were stationed ready to receive any onslaught of the enemy.
A young man who knew the Lord was taking care of the security of whole Allied Forces that night. As he was patrolling the place by walking up and down he was singing a song, “Jesus, Lover of my soul, cover my defenseless head by the shadow of your wing.” Across the border a German soldier had aimed to shoot this young man in the head. As he was about to pull the trigger, the German soldier heard these words, “Cover my defenseless head.” The soldier became very nervous and could not pull the trigger and ran away. Several years later they met on a ship, remembered that night and embraced each other. Beloved, do not think you are alone. The Lord is with you and you are completely covered. You shall not lack in any good thing in your life.
The Psalmist David says, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life” (Psalm 23:1, 6).
Lord Jesus Christ shall be with you and remove every obstacle and lack in your life. Goodness and mercy shall not only follow you in this New Year but will follow throughout your life. May God bless you!

Loving Lord Jesus,
I praise and thank You for Your promise to me in my life. I praise You for Your Word. Lord, help me to seek more of You in my life. Let this year be a blessed year and blessed one for others. Lord, remove all obstacles and lack in my life. Be my shepherd and lead me to greener pastures. Let Your grace, peace and joy abound in my life. I give You all glory, honour and praise.
